Eocene origin, with a loamy clay texture rich in active limestone.
GROWING YEAR
After a winter characterised by fluctuating temperatures, spring saw a quick drop in temperatures in May, followed by a hot and dry June. Summer was marked by significant and well-distributed rainfall, nighttime temperatures below average and typical seasonal Mediterranean daytime temperatures. The ripening of the grapes was therefore slow and opimal, producing wines distinguished by intense aromas and excellent drinkability.
HARVEST
By hand into small crates, in the second week of September. Double sorting table at the entrance to the cellar.
VINIFICATION
Fermentation in steel tanks at a controlled temperature and ageing in French oak barriques (30% new) for 18 months, followed by 12 months of bottle ageing.
